2025 Annual Meeting The T'ang Studies Society's 2025 Annual Meeting will take place in conjunction with the Association for Asian Studies Annual Meeting in Columbus, Ohio!
T'ANG STUDIES SOCIETY GRANTS AND PANEL SPONSORSHIPS
T'ang Studies Society Panel Sponsorships at AAS The T’ang Studies Society is happy to announce that will sponsor panels on topics related to the study of the Tang dynasty at the 2025 Annual Meeting of the Association for Asian Studies in Seattle. Sponsorships include small subventions for individual panelists.
T'ang Studies Society Travel Grants With the generous support of the Elling O. Eide Foundation, the T’ang Studies Society is pleased to announce funding for conference travel grants to present research in any discipline concerning the Tang dynasty at domestic and international conferences. In order to raise the academic profile of Tang Studies, applications are welcome to support travel to any type of conference to deliver papers on topics related to Tang Studies.

T'ang Studies Society Research Grants With generous support from the Tang Research Foundation, the T’ang Studies Society is pleased to announce funding for grants to support research in any discipline on the Tang dynasty in a broad geographical and chronological scope. The grant can support various types of expenses that arise during research including travel, book purchases, graduate assistants, and database fees.

T'ang Studies Society Scholarly Production Grants The T’ang Studies Society is pleased to announce funding to support the production or dissemination of in-progress or completed research on the Tang dynasty in a broad geographical and chronological scope. These grants are designed to facilitate the presentation of scholarly research in any discipline to academic and/or general audiences via print publication, digital platforms, or conference organization. They can support various types of expenses related to production such as copy-editing and online database entry, and dissemination such as publication subventions, image reproduction fees, volume completion fees, and conference organization costs.

CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENTS:

ANNOUNCEMENTS: Membership dues include a subscription to the Society's journal Tang Studies as well as eligibility to participate in Society sponsored events. More information on the benefits of membership and dues payment options is available on the Membership page.
Current dues rates are as follows: • Individual Memberships: $35 • Student Memberships: $20 As a result of the Society's publication relationship with The Johns Hopkins University Press, current members can access the journal online at Project MUSE after being provided with a code and login instructions: Tang Studies
